I need deals on the Marvel movies. Avengers is $10, so that's good. I need almost all of them, though.

Amazon had a great deal on the the X-Men movies last week (currently, you can get the newest one for $10, and the rest are $3.99 each, or $24.99 for a boxset that includes both Wolverine movies). I'm sure more Marvel deals will pop up over the next two weeks.

Holy crap, that X-Men deal is almost too good to pass up. I had no intention of buying them, but $25 for the box set is insane.

Criterions are currently 50 percent off at B&N, and today there's a 30 percent coupon that stacks on top of that. If you're a B&N member, you'll get an additional 10 percent off in-store, or free shipping online.

So, between $13.50 and $15 per movie. Expires after the weekend (yes, before Time Bandits comes out).

Rats! And I just finished getting all the Kurosawa Criterions a few months back ... most at full price.

Coupons.com has $5 off of the Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes Blu, and Best Buy is currently selling it for $11.99. So, couple the coupon with an Amazon price match ($9.96) and I walked out with it for a cool five bucks and change today.

Just a general fyi - Amazon is celebrating their 20th anniversary in a couple of weeks, and several employees have inferred (on Reddit) that there will be sales, the likes of which God has never seen.

Also, if the last 3 years are a good indicator, B&N's 50% Criterion sale should be hitting any day now...

Do you guys no longer post deals, or just no longer buy physical media?

I buy plenty, but I figure those who really want deals will just hang around Blu-Ray.com in order to keep up.

I think I own every movie I want...well, until Sony puts out a 4K director's cut of Krull.

I do that daily, almost obsessively, but since they're so Amazon focused, the other retailers deals (admittedly much fewer than a few years ago) slip by me.

You're lucky. Between the new releases that strike my fancy and an unhealthy love of grindhouse/exploitation fare, I'm going at a rate that is probably stupid. :)

I've got about 20 or so movies in an Amazon wishlist, but I don't NEED them...when I upgraded to Blu-Ray, I decided never to impulse-buy movies ever again. I only make exceptions for Kickstarters, which have worked out very well. Although, I still don't have my Kung Fury Blu-Ray.

I haven't waded into the kickstarrters yet, and I've already found that I've missed some very cool opportunities. Any recommendations on sites that separate the wheat from the chaff and highlight the good stuff out there in crowd funding?

I usually find them by accident, or my friends. I started kickstarting documentaries a few years ago, so I get a lot of emails for producer-financing stuff. I generally check out the kickstarter and indiegogo every month or so, and usually come across one or two that I don't mind throwing money at.

Legend Of Korra complete series Blu for $14.99 shipped!

http://www.target.com/p/legend-of-korra ... v_xasd0002

Might be a pricing mistake, so jump on this before Target gets wise and starts cancelling orders.

Looks like Target changed it to "in-store only" barely ten minutes after I ordered. Hope it goes through.
