This will be a spectacle. Not sure if it will be enjoyable, but it will be a spectacle.

That's why I don't watch trailers anymore...it's easy to come out satisfied if you have no expectations whatsoever, good or bad.

Do you walk out when they're shown in theaters?

I wait in the hall until they're over...when I see the blue "Our Feature Presentation" title card come up, I jog into the theater and settle down into a seat right as the opening studio logos are starting. I know it's irrational, but I've found myself enjoying movies FAR more over the last year-and-a-half than I ever have before, going in knowing pretty much nothing other than the premise and director/cast. It seems especially stupid to me to see trailers for sequels...you liked the original? Then you're gonna see the sequel, regardless, so why spoil what little "new" material you're getting? You've seen one Michael Bay Transformers movie, you've essentially seen them all.

I dislike people that walk into a movie theatre right as the movie starts. Your movement in my peripheral vision is a distraction.

Granted, in my area, it's usually a Hispanic family of 12.

Also, do you end up with a shitty seat?

Since I see all of my movies at a matinee between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM, it's very rare I get a theater that's at most half-full, so there are always plenty of seats. I usually sit in the last row in the front section, so I don't have anyone sitting directly behind me. At least I'm sitting down right before the studio logos start, instead of waltzing in 10/15 minutes into the movie (and that's AFTER 10/15 minutes of trailers, leading me to wonder why anyone would walk into a theater a HALF-HOUR after the posted starting time). If they invented a totally sound-proof set of headphones, I would just go in, put them on, and close my eyes until the trailers ended.

I am happy for the couple, but what bugs me about the picture above it is, it's a projected shape, and anyone with any shadow puppet experience will know what the little tiny details along the edge, that close to the light source, will get blown out, so the actual image on the clouds will just be a big rectangle if that.

Lazy mutha fuckers, this movie will suck. DC is more realistic my ass.

Okay, I'm probably not the first to point this out. Maybe not even the first in this thread. But... billionaire playboy with a mechanized suit?

Image

I realize, how else are you going to do it? But still, Marvel should sue.

I suppose they could, but the design is taken straight out of Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns (where robo-suit Batman and Superman do battle) and has been around for 30 years.

Like, I don't know if anyone outside a comic book shop really knew or cared about Iron Man before RDJ's portrayel.

DC and Marvel have been cloning each other for decades - they aren't going to sue each other over shit like this.

Plus both Marvel and DC stole the idea Tin Tim, a comic about a Dutch kid who constructs a giant head made out of metal and has adventures traveling the world in it.

Oh, it wasn't a real gripe. (And I've read Dark Knight Returns and don't remember the suit--should re-read.) Just a joke. But when you get down to it, both Batman and Iron Man ultimately have the superpower of lots of money. And Batman vs. Superman is just a poorly thought-out, one-sided match-up.

The suit in Frank Miller's Dark Knight graphic novel was not powered to the best of my memory. I own the damn thing in bound leather, but yeah, I haven't read it in a long time.

But I definitely do not recall any major suit power capabilities, if any true powered suit capabilities.

I remember him using tools (guns, gloves, helmets that gave HUD readings, utility belt, etc.) that were powered, but that is Batman's forté.

Maybe I am remembering something different.

I liked the Suicide Squad trailer more, and I still think the Suicide Squad movie is going to be hot garbage on garbage mountain.

You are not wrong. I am interested in the premise though and it looks less trashy in motion than all the set photos would have me believe.

It does not look very good at all, but Margot Robbie is clearly going to steal the show as Harley Quinn, and Jared Leto's Joker will be Trying Too Hard.
