You gave Clue 3 stars? What the fuck is wrong with you?

I'm just kidding - I don't care what other people think of movies...

But seriously - 3.5 stars for First Contact...you're out of your Vulcan mind.

Too high?

It's my favorite TNG film. It's pretty good. I consider a 3.5 pretty good.

Like something needs to be FUCKING AMAZING for a 5. Like Suspiria.

When you watch a hundred films a year, they can't all be 5s.

Also Clue - It's one of those films that leaves me pondering if I'm without joy, or am I simply mute in theaters? I saw it at a local microcinema. People were busting their gut laughing. It got a few smiles out of me. It was a fine way to spend 90 minutes. I have no clue what would get a guffaw out of me, but it sure wasn't Clue.

Clue is brilliant. As is the movie that it ripped off inspired it, Murder By Death.

First Contact is yet another TNG story about Picard and Data mirroring each other (literally, every TNG movie does this). And after 5 amazingly well told time travel stories in the TV series, they went with...that? And, hey, how did they actually get back to the future at the end?

0.0 stars.

I didn't watch the TNG series and enjoy the film on the merit for what it is, not what came before it.

Haven't seen Clue since I saw it on VHS when it was released. Don't remember hating it, or loving it, I should probably watch it again. Murder By Death, however is fucking awesome.

Geez, check out a few of TNG's (post-season 1) episodes. Not because I want you to hate the TNG movies, but to see what you're missing out on. There's some exceptional storytelling going on there (mainly because TNG remains one of a handful of shows that allowed fans to submit scripts).

That sounds horrible though.

One guy that submitted a bunch of scripts was ultimately hired as a full-time writer in the show's third season, who then went on to create Star Trek Deep Space Nine (and then the Battlestar Galactica remake).

Ok, that sounds better.

Please understand, growing up on the internet and reading "fans" ideas on how to improve stories leaves me dubious of the quality of fan-submitted scripts.

I think there is a movie coming out of some shut-in, antisocial, person writing STAR TREK fan fiction coming out at the end of January.

PLEASE STAND BY

Dakota Fanning.
