It's Dia de los Muertos-style art, get yo facts straight.

Though admittedly, I don't know why the fuck they decided on these particular aesthetics for these covers.

I suspect they are cashing in on Disney/Pixar's film about the day of the dead...?

If they were going to go with a closeup of something, I would have opted for the splashed Slurpee angrily smashed on the back of a Presidential limo or some such.

Such a great movie to have been given such treatment. Maybe it was done ironically?

It's fine and easy to recognize what film it's for.

Disney STILL charging a full $20 for Iron Man, despite it creeping up on being a DECADE old, and THIS is the best they can come up with.

Wow. Fairly pedestrian considering if anyone was going to do an artistic cover series, you would think it would be people that make comic books for a living (yes, I know they're different entities, but holy fuck man, these are bland).

That's the nice thing about Plex - you can change the covers to whatever you want.

Yes. Most of my old films are using theatrical posters, but I kind of wish the tools I used pulled up 1980s Betamax or VHS covers to give my Kodi interface a retro-rental feel.

It's no coincidence these reissues show up at the end of a semester. What else are design interns doing these days, if not providing free labour for an over-saturated market?

Ah, the movie that ended Jan De Bont's career. I miss his camera moves.

Great cinematographer, but he blew his wad as a director with Speed.

As for these steelbooks, it's the usual "Malibu Stacey with a new hat!" collector mentality bullshit, but...if you're gonna bother once again re-issuing the same damn movies that have been out for ages, can't you at least make the steelbook covers look GOOD? Granted, even the original posters for a lot of these movies sucked to begin with, but a little effort would be appreciated. Barbarella has a wonderful theatrical poster to choose from, so to do that to it is downright depressing.

I haven't watched a Spielberg film in ages, but when did John Williams stop composing for his films?

This is the second recent Spielberg movie that Williams hasn't done (the first being Bridge Of Spies). The man is eighty-five, after all. As long as Spielberg gets other good composers in there, I'm not too disappointed. Thomas Newman's score to Bridge was excellent, and I'm sure Alan Silvestri ought to have fun with the science-fiction/80's trapping of RPO (and how cool would it be to hear him quote his own Back To The Future score?). Williams is scoring Spielberg's The Post.

Now, if he could just dump Janusz Kaminski's cold, color-deprived cinematography for ONE damn movie...

Aside from the possible BS, troll job on his leg length (which a simple GIS reveals a lot of versions with varying lengths), the angle of his hip and back leg are definitely not natural.

And why is Julianne Moore so happy to be pursued by Stegosauruses?

Better than being shot in the head like she was in CHILDREN OF MEN?
