Am I the only one watching this? I can't believe I am, because it moves so slow, but it has a decent "V" vibe (the 80s one). I have no idea where it's going, but I'm in for at least two or three more episodes. And the FX are pretty awful, but that's not a dealbreaker. Love the chef.

For TV standards, they work well enough. The animatronic aliens are pretty sweet, though...right out of an 80's genre flick like The Fly.

Yeah, that guy is pretty cool.

Overall the series isn't what I'd call "gripping" yet, but it has potential. At least it has a sense of humor, unlike the collossally boring The Event. I'll give it a few more weeks and see how it develops.

Piece of shit show.

I am completely over the whole "Family in a bizarre crisis must learn how to get along again" bullshit story.

Shit, I thought I might like the zombie thing that did this - but this show just fucking ruined it for me. And I only watched 15 minutes.

Fuck people and humans if they are all this stupid.

The bits I've seen are pretty terrible. I won't be watching any more ... and I love alien invasion stuff.

I officially gave up after watching most of Sunday's episode...it's like watching DragonBall Z. Lots of standing around and yelling, but litte, if any, story progression.

I finished all of the episodes on my DVR. The show is...okay, I guess. At least I finished up the season, instead of just drifitng away like I did with The Event. I like the idea that
Spoiler: show
the "Skitters" are harnessed themselves, under the slavery[?] of those CE3K-looking aliens
, which is intriguing enough to make me want to come back next summer.

And Moon Bloodgood is easy on the eyes.

Imagine her pussy holding your hard penis like a warm Hand of Heaven milking your tool for the juice it wants so bad.

Now imagine yourself going out the door and finding that for you and your penis.

Do it.

I finally circled back around and started watching this recently. Just finished season 1 last night.

Bad effects, an entire season where the story doesn't really go anywhere, very few characters to like (really only Noah Wyle), etc.

But for the moment, I'm in.

Do. Not. Keep. Watching.

I enjoyed the first season so I kept watching and I can't believe how terrible the later seasons are. Seasons 4 and 5 are just pitiful, you keep watching because you already watched 3 seasons but you will hate yourself. Just stop now. One of the worst shows I've ever managed to watch all the way through and I watch a lot of shows.

I gave up at some point towards the end of the second season...mediocre effects, stock characterizations.

Falling Skies season 3

Bigger budget, bigger setpieces, same glacial pace and drawn out mysteries that aren't very interesting. The characters continue to remain stagnant after three seasons - no real growth to speak of in anyone - and after a big climactic major event at the end of the season they essentially hit the reset button and we're back to season 1 status quo.

I'm kind of locked in at this point, but not loving it. If I wasn't a fan of the genre I'd be gone. It's solid enough if you like the whole idea of humans fighting a guerrilla war against alien invaders, though don't think too hard about it, because you'll be wondering how they weren't wiped out two seasons ago.

I shall push on.

Close to a week after finishing season 3, I still hadn't gotten to any of 4. Realized I just didn't care if I finished or not.

Yesterday, while working, I "watched" half of 4 as I got my work done. Basically the equivalent of skimming it.

It actually seemed like there were a few okay concepts and maybe I should have watched closer, but I dunno. Kind of tired of the show constantly hitting the reset button. It doesn't have a clear understanding of its own rules. Either these aliens can utterly dominate humanity or these rebels can turn the tide of the war. Which is it? Either those other aliens can help beat them back or they are useless. Which is it?

And all the dropped story elements. Like, early on it was a big deal that the aliens enslaved children. Why kids? Why did the Skitters have a nurturing relationship with kids? What was that all about? Totally dropped.

Pope, we trust him, we don't trust him, we don't trust him but we need him!, we trust him, we don't trust him, we don't trust him but we need him!

Give it a fucking rest.

Etc etc
