Jesse messed up by saying he knew the kid was poisoned. Just leaving it as "he's sick" would have been fine, but that little slip was enough to kick Gus's radar into gear.

Yeah, but why even use Jesse's ricin at that point? Just use any Ricin and Jesse still would have been mad at Walt.

You have to give Jesse enough ammo to make the connection. If the kid just gets sick and dies, Jesse doesn't suspect anything. (Remember, earlier Walt established that doctors would probably not know it was poisoning.) You have to give him a reason to make the leap to Walt.

Wow.

Everything was wow. And that reveal at the end? Wow. Brutal. Evil. Epic.

Where the hell does it go from here? That felt like a SERIES finale, not a season finale. It closed the door on everything.

Awesome stuff.

So, were those flowers/berries in Walt's backyard as a "LOL Fuck you Walter" or in Brock's backyard? Wasn't exactly paying attention but given the pool, i'm guessing it's the former.

Loved the Gus tying his tie camp. The moment Old Man Salamancas was mentioned, it was pretty obvious what needed to happen. I'm glad the writers agreed.
Spoiler: show
The idea of a weaponized wheelchair bomb with a senior citizen attached has amused me since I saw some TSA airport security alert about screening wheelchairs extra carefully a few years back, I'm glad Breaking Bad's crew had the same idea

Oh yeah, seems pretty obvious that Walt poisoned Brock. It'll be interesting when Jesse figures that one out.

I hope the series ends with Jesse killing Walt.

I have a hard time seeing the series end in any way that doesn't involve Walt dead or in jail. Right now he keeps staying one step ahead of oblivion, but there is a sense of inevitability in his fall. He goes down by one of two people, either Jesse (who kills him) or Hank (who either jails him or is forced to kill him).

And yes, Walt poisoned Brock. So, so damn manipulative. Walt gambled. Gambled BIG. But finally got a few steps ahead of Gus.

Mike is a wild card right now. You KNOW he's not out of the show yet. The question is the form in which he returns.

I think it's awesome that the writers are purposely sending Walt further and further away from respectability just to see how far they can take it. Nobody likes Walt anymore, yet we're all fascinated by him.

I see a wild card on who could take him down. Now I'm being ridiculous here when I say it, but Walter Jr. I see Walt betraying Skyler and somehow Jr. has to kill Walt to protect his mother.

Yeah, it'll probably be Jesse or Hank, but I could probably make scenarios for anyone else. It'll just be more satisfying if it's Jesse or Hank.

Amazing episode. But I have a hard time believing Walt poisoned Brock just because Walt is portrayed as super intelligent and a super intelligent person WOULD NOT leave a little sign in a flower pot AT THEIR HOUSE that says exactly what it is after using it to poison someone. I'd more so believe Gus and his people knew Walter owned that flower and used it to poison Brock over Walt fucking up so greatly and leaving the sign in the pot. Even more so because Jessie has been to his house multiple times, Walt just isn't that stupid.

When you buy plants they come with those little signs, so it'd be there by default.

And smart as he is, Walt has been doing dumb things from the start.

And also, he's an evil man.

But most important of all, the creator of the show confirmed that that final reveal wasn't meant to be a red herring and that Walt did indeed do the deed.

I know they come with the little signs, I own plants, and I also take out the little signs and I'd especially take out the little sign if I just used it to poison someone. Your correct though, he has done dumb things, I was about to post "maybe I'm just giving Walt too much credit" which is what I did. Didn't know about the last part, I just finished the episode about 10 minutes ago.

Can't believe no one has commented on the start of season 5.

Great start to the new season. As always, they start slow -- though this one had more forward momentum than past openers -- and put in place the pieces for a lot of tension building.

Spoiler: show
I like how they revealed how Walt poisoned the kid without ever going into the details. They just trusted the audience to come along with them.

Overall, strong stuff.

Spoiler: show
I wonder if that opening in the diner was the END end of the series, or just the end of this stretch of eight episodes?

Anna Gunn has great pendulous tits - wish I could gander her nipples, though.

Also, kind of funny that the bitch from Don't Trust the Bitch in Apartment 23 was such a fucking bitch in this show, too.

Her death and all the following fallout was worth it, IMHO.

Ahhh, season 3, when you still have a faint glimmer of respect/like for Walter.

That eventually disappears.

Well, not the respect. But the like does.

Not sure I have liked him much for a while.

Appreciated him letting that chick drown in her own vomit.

Appreciated him wanting anger fuck his hot wife.

Appreciated his ability to cook.

But, liking him is a bit more than I am willing to do.

That semi-comedic, totally random Bill Burr cameo in s4e3 is... I don't know what. But it is.

It's a good show, but far from the greatest. Apart from Walter, every single character is straight out of hokeyville. (Notable exception also being literally ALL non-whites.) I don't buy into 75% of the show's shit. And most things, that brainrapes you guys, just leave me cold or chuckling.

Loved that. He came on and I was thinking. Hey! That guy looks a lot like Bill Burr. Then I realized it WAS Bill Burr. Cool! But then his character didn't reoccur. Too bad.
