Loved that. He came on and I was thinking. Hey! That guy looks a lot like Bill Burr. Then I realized it WAS Bill Burr. Cool! But then his character didn't reoccur. Too bad.
But he did. Twice! He was the truck driver in the train heist. AND, more awesomely, the signature-getter (when Miss White's boss wouldn't pay the IRS) (...and paid for it with an accident that left him looking like Jabba the Hutt.)

Currently rewatching this show in preparation for the final stretch.

Damn, I forgot just how kickass it was even as early as the second season.

Doing the same thing. Up to the third episode of season five. Second season was great, but then so was the first. It's been a great show from the start.

So over the past year, the wife and I have watched all of the first 4 seasons. I had to wait until they put the show ON Demand a few weeks ago to catch up with season 5. Man, I wish I'd been watching this show from the beginning, it's so fucking good. I also think that Walt dead or in prison is the only way to end this thing, but then we see the cold open of season 5 with Walt celebrating his 52nd birthday as some guy from New Hampshire with a full head of hair and a beard. Watching season 5, I knew that the Walt Whitman book was going to be important, since they showed it to you at least 5 times before episode 8, but the hubris of Walt to leave it in a bathroom, where old shitting Hank could find it, Priceless! Can't wait for the last episodes to air.

I don't think the first season was great. It was merely good, leaning a bit towards very good. I think the show took a quantum leap forward in the second season, and never stopped improving after that.

Fake blue meth. Tucco. Boom.

It was good.

Also, missing piece of the plate.

Missing glassware.

It was a great show.

I liked the new episode tonight, but I wish it ended right after Hank closed the garage door. The suspense of waiting until next week after that point would have been perfect. I read some very encouraging things today about these last eight episodes. That it should be a satisfying ending, that the pace will be frenetic, that meth labs could appear anywhere. Should be a fun seven more weeks.

But then we wouldn't have that great "tread lightly" line as an ending.

Anyway, watching this after a 9 month wait was a suspense killer. I barely remembered what was what.

That's exactly why I rewatched the whole series again over the last couple months. Really helped to watch it all again as I remembered lots of things I wouldn't have if I had just picked up again last night.

Since I only started watching the show this year, I was able to remember most of what I'd seen. I could see watching the whole series again, however, something I wouldn't say about many dramatic shows.

BTW, have you all seen this? It's pretty fucking funny.

This one too.

Last night took it to the next level if you haven't been watching shows like you use two dollar whores and forget about them.

Couldn't have predicted the direction they are going and the realizations different characters are having.

Next week is going to be balls ass Gallagher crazy.

Great fucking episode. The twist of the "confession" was so fucking perfect. I loved how at the dinner meeting Marie wore black (and not the purple she has worn in every other episode), and Hank wore dark purple. Hmmmm, what could that mean?

All three of the episodes this half season have been great. I've found myself upset that each one has ended and constantly wondering where they are going to go next. I especially liked the first episode of 5B where
Spoiler: show
they didn't hold back the Hank/Walt confrontation, something I thought for sure was going to be dragged out for the next few episodes.

Did anyone see the Awkward Guacamole picture on the Breaking Bad Facebook?

Spoiler: show

Spoiler: show
All I can keep thinking about now is the flash forward in the first episode where Walt is back at the house. With Jesse storming in last episode, I keep thinking about Walt Jr. possibly being there or what they get him to do unknowingly during a surprise situation. He has to be part of something horrifying this season. It's too good for them not to do.

That pic is hilarious! "We make it right here at the table!"

Spoiler: show
I also think Walt Jr has to die or at least be injured, but as we saw in the flash forward, the house wasn't burned.

For the show to STILL be his good with just a handful of episodes left is remarkable.

The Mrs and I have started watching this, on Season 3 Episode 3 right now ("I fucked Ted"), so I'm not going to go back and read the whole thread for fear of spoilers (like that one, and the enjoyment of this show would be greatly reduced if I knew what happens), but, hell yes, loving it so far.

Ericubus - it just keeps getting better. This week's episode was a bit of a place holder. Not as much crazy shit going on, but a set up for the last 4 episodes. Can't wait to see what kind of carnage we're in for!

Very good to hear. What was the overall reaction when the reveal of the much teased stuffed animal eyeball/glasses in a baggy, thing came out?

I was certainly surprised about how the bear came to be in the pool, and it foreshadows some very interesting events in season 4.

Pretty bold to do it that way, but also a good call. It can still go a million different ways -- and whatever way it DOES go will be one we don't expect.

I agree but
Spoiler: show
I just don't see how Gomez and Hank come out of this gunfight alive, especially with Hank's teary phone call to Marie. Have you noticed since Marie had known that Walt was Heisenberg that she's only worn black, no more purple?

That's just it about this show, though, you usually can't see how people are going to get out of things. I think they were hinting big time that Hank was going down -- lots of heavy telegraphing just prior to the confrontation -- but it wouldn't be the first time they threw some misdirection at us.

Don't get me wrong, Hank going down seems like a pretty natural place for the story to go and with just three episodes left we're close to the time when that might happen, but this show. I've just given up trying to predict it.

Emotionally draining episode. Not even the Hank thing, which was expected. Everything else was just so fucking brutal.
