If you haven't been watching this short show, you should be. I just love the casual nature of it. The episode with Louis CK was great.

But of course, the big buzz right now was the mini Seinfeld episode:

http://comediansincarsgettingcoffee.com ... over-cheer

Even if they can't recapture the magic, I always love seeing these guys together again.

Love this show. The Louis CK has definitely been the best episode so far.

Didn't we have a thread on this, back when it started? Anyway, watching since day one. Most episodes multiple times. And, of course, always wish they were 3 times as long. The Reiner/Brooks one is my favorite so far. You hardly get such intimate looks into legends' lifes.

The original device, where the term "internet appliance" came from - 3COM's Audrey:

Then they decided to spin off Palm, because Audry is the future, then they killed Audrey.

P.S. The Mrs worked for them during this time.

As I expected, Fallon had virtually nothing to offer. Except for the great Nicholson anecdote and the confession that he couldn't (and, I guess, still can't) get out more than 3 interview-minutes out of his guests. Fallon has a wonderful ability to be amazed about anything, but not much more.

I started going through the outtakes on Youtube. There are about 50 of them, each about a minute long. There is a goddamn hilarious stuff left out of those episodes. I'd GLADLY watch if they were 45 minutes instead of 15 or 20.

And Larry David and Seinfeld together? Forget it. I could watch those two talk about bullshit for hours.

New season trailer:

Steve Harvey is a colossal douche, but I'll still watch that one. The show is just too good.

I'll watch Steve Harvey before Bill Maher any day of the week.

That said, sign me up for another season, no matter the guest. I love this show. And very glad to see JLD on it!

I'd like to see extended episodes for a few of the guests. They often post brief outtakes and there is a lot of good material that doesn't make the "air.'

First episode with JLD was nice. They clearly adore one another. Seinfeld is kind of an asshole, and not for the first time in the series. For some reason, I don't mind it in him.

Also, this show always makes me want a cup of coffee. Always. The coffee porn is intense.

Anyway, I've only seen ONE episode of Seinfeld. And ALL I can think of when I see Julia anywhere is: that women is richer than Oprah. Look at her, all nondescript, tiny, average looking and WORTH MICHAEL JORDAN (THE RICHEST ATHLETE EVER) 3 TIMES OVER.

Not really, not yet. Her father is worth $3 billion. He is still alive, and she has siblings.

Trevor Noah is the first episode I quit (half way through). Who the hell is that? Why did the commenters like the episode. How on earth did he get the Daily Show?

The car was shark-fuck-awesome tho.

Fell asleep mid-binge last night watching the new episodes, but so far I watched:

Zach Galifianakis - Very lukewarm and not a lot of humor, until the Between Two Ferns segment, which was HILARIOUS

Dave Chappelle - Chappelle is smart and funny and a deep thinker, so I was expecting a lot out of this episode. Hearing these two comedic minds talking about comedy would be great. But ... it was okay.

Ellen DeGeneres - I adore Ellen. She's the nicest person on Earth. Holy hell, Jerry really seemed to make her uncomfortable in places, where he's pushing for humor that she just wasn't down with. I liked seeing Ellen be Ellen, but this episode was sometimes awkward.

Tracy Morgan - Tracy Morgan is kind of a lunatic, and throughout the episode Jerry keeps saying how Tracy can talk talk talk, he can talk to anyone, etc ... so why the hell did they edit out all his stuff and just put the oddball behavior in a 30-second bit at the end? Jerry would not shut the hell up. I hated this episode.

Brian Regan - This one was pretty funny! good conversation, good jokes, good all around.

I really love this show and have been a cheerleader for it for a few years now, but so far this new Netflix season has been weak as hell. REALLY disappointing. I sure as hell hope it gets better after this.

I'm happy to say, the rest of the season picks up nicely and is mostly back to form. Impressions:

Dana Carvey - Very funny and very insightful. Carvey can really riff! It's a different kind of humor than Jerry's but it cracks him up. Can't say I've ever been huge on Carvey but I really liked this, he's funny and genuine and he's great at coming up with material on the fly. Very strong episode.

Hasan Minhaj - Never heard of him. After watching this, I'm going to watch his Netflix special. (Jerry plugs Netflix a lot this season, which is annoying.) Dude is really intelligent and has funny observations. Interesting to see how his sensibilities clashes with Jerry's. Solid stuff.

Neal Brennan - I saw about 1/3 of his "3 mics" special and turned if off. I may go back to it after this. Great episode! This guy has a biting observational wit, and he and Jerry clearly have a good rapport. The conversation here is REALLY good. Strong stuff.

John Mulaney - Hmmmm. Mulaney is one of my current favorite stand ups, but this was a surprisingly weak episode. Mulaney gets some good lines off, but the pair just don't click well. There just isn't a lot happening. So/so.

Kate McKinnon - She is so weird and interesting. For that along, this episode is great. There are times when she seems uncomfortable, but it also might just be her being weird. Jerry has no tact when asking her about being a lesbian, and that's interesting, too. This is a good episode.

Alec Baldwin - This guy is a real shithead through and through - hearing him talk about how he likes being nice to his kids is hard to bear after that phone call recording - but I just can't deny his talent. The due is funny, smart, and always interesting. This is a fantastic episode, even though Baldwin now walks like an old man. Top notch stuff.

Jerry Lewis - Terribly sad. You can tell how much Jerry S admires him, it's just non-stop praise and questions, but Jerry Lewis mostly only gets out short answers and agreement that yes, he is a genius. He's so just old and clearly deep into his decline, it's not fun to see. It's sad. Jerry S had to rely on a lot of clips to show Lewis' genius, because it's not apparent here. A downbeat end to the season.

So, after a poor start, the season clicks back to form and is solid to really good for the rest. My disappointment is washed away! Hurray for Funny Guys in Driving Machines Drinking Liquid Drugs!

Based on all the typos, Shoe was nicely drunk writing these summaries.

I said the exact same thing to my wife yesterday. What was up with that?

P.S. I like Lavazza coffee, switched to it about a year ago (Classico).

Lavazza is excellent. I like all Italian roast coffee. We use Illy.

I've used Lavazza and Illy. I like them both but prefer Illy if I can find it for a good price.

I get it from amazon. If I buy a six pack of cans they are under $8 a can, which is about the best price I've found.

Every now and then Target will have it on sale and when we use our Target card, we get an additional 5%. We've gotten it close to $8.00 a can but I don't think we've beat that.

Since I drink my coffee cold about 90% of the time, and I just want convenience, I've recently switched to buying those pre-made iced coffees you can now find in grocery stores (and it's about time! Why weren't they doing this years ago?).

I've mostly been getting the Califia stuff:

It's fine for what it is. Nothing special, but decent, and the price is right.

NOT JOKING: If at some point we can arrange it - get Ericubus in on it, too - we should get on Google Hangouts or something, talk about coffee (with cocktails) for a little while, and I'll give the footage to Tig to edit into a little segment for our show (which has recently evolved into a public access kind of variety show with lots of varied nonsense).

If someone recommends a cheap webcam to buy, I would do this as well.
