I rarely watch new TV shows these days (especially with commercial breaks), but I make random exceptions here and there. Legion won out tonight, and - despite the pretentious Wes Anderson/Kubrick/I-just-graduated-film-school style - it's pretty damn good. Certainly a better X-Men adaptation than anything Bryan Singer ever accomplished.

The one-note piano movie with all the christmas lights and tom cruise. That's bad Kubrick.

But, my point isn't that Kubrick (and his style) is bad, just that someone attempting his style is. I'm a fan of Brutalist architecture, so more power to these guys - but it did go a bit overboard.

Dude, the tits, man.

The tits.

Plus getting a glimpse inside the absolute destruction and desolation of Kidman and Cruise's marriage, that was pure comedy gold.

 <---- See? Even Tom thought so here.

I really think that Kubrick, after meeting Tom and Nicole, decided to make it a covert documentary of their fucked up relationship under the guise of it being a one-note piano movie.

8-)

I thought that was kind of the point. Dude's in a mental institution. Overboard and off-kilter is the order of the day, right? And it settled down quite a bit as the episode wore on. I thought they struck the right balance.

2nd episode was as good as the first. I'm still not digging the "what decade is this?" Wes Anderson/Kubrick look, but the story is weird enough to let it slide.

A little late to the party on this one but my wife and I started watching the series on Hulu. We're three episodes in and it's easily our favorite thing we're watching right now. Great acting, great storytelling and it's constantly got us guessing.

I just hope it keeps this level throughout the season because the first few episodes have been masterful.

Best (non-documentary) TV show I've seen in years. The penultimate episode was fantastic, and the very last episode will make you want them to hurry up with season 2 (which is definitely happening).

Finished it up this afternoon. Seriously one of the best shows I've seen in ages. Very much looking forward to season two (and to watching it a second time).

ditto to everything, except Chris' references.

Great show, original take and angle, looking forward to the next season.

We wrapped up watching it the second time and realized we'd missed the teaser at the end of the last episode. Now we wish we hadn't seen that. Way to end on a bummer note!

Still really looking forward to season two and man, did we catch a lot of cool things the second time around.

Finally watched season one...this show had me at "Aubrey Plaza flashing her crazy/sexy eyes & smile".

It took a few episodes before I settled in, but once I figured out the puzzle-box structure, I found it completely captivating. Gonna have to catch up on season 2.

Season 2 is schizo. Episodes 1 and 3 are fantastic, 2 and 4 just way too normal. I'm hoping it's not a trend, but handing each episode off to a different director isn't always a good thing for a show like this.

We're waiting for it to hit Hulu. This is a show that we've binge watched twice and we want that same experience again. Mostly it's because my wife can't stand waiting a week for the next episode.
