Haven't watched it yet because 2008 girl of my dreams came out of nowhere to make me drink tonight, but I will watch it before I go to bed. Yay, so excited. Best show in the history of television and it's back!

Finished watching season 2 last night.

I need to Google up the fella who plays Walt to be sure he's been nominated for an Emmy, because damn he's good. The man says so much without saying a word. The scene in the second to last episode...

Spoiler: show
... when he watches as Jessie's girlfriend chokes to death on her own vomit. Wow. He's horrified and sickened by what he sees, but you also see the wheels turning in his head. He knows that if she dies the danger of her ratting him out dies with her. He's briefly tormented by this, by himself, but ultimately lets her die.

And that all came across despite him not having a single line of dialogue.

All those teases at the start of each episode with the stuffed animal floating in the pool and bags of evidence, I did NOT expect it to go there. Not sure how I feel about that ending and wonder if it will continue playing out in season 3, or if that was just a big, giant red herring.

Anyway, when this show is good, it's flippin' GREAT.

Last night's episode is the first one in a while that's got me psyched.

Loved Gale's notebook and his character bits.

Begin season 3.

Spoiler: show
Those two badass Mexican dudes. I don't know what the hell is up with them, and the crawling thing was weird, but that spells trouble for Walt.

Walt turning down the offer from chicken shack guy? Bad idea. You don't turn down people like that.

Jesse. I have a feeling he's going to take a very bad turn. A turn for the evil.

This first episode was all setup and mystery.

I miss the good old days, when there was only ever one great show on at a time and it was easy to keep up.

I'll let you know what I think of Breaking Bad when I get around to watching it in 2018.

Season 3, episodes 2 and 3. Two KILLER end scenes in a row.

Spoiler: show
First the 'twins' waiting in Walt's room and called out at the last minute, and then Skylar's frickin' brutal, "I fucked Teddy." Saw it coming a mile away but it still felt like a ton of bricks.

Got to admit, I liked the first season well enough but didn't quite buy into the praise. By now, though, it's firing on all cylinders. This is a great show.

Still not quite wrapping my head around why Gus did what he did near the end of the first episode of season 4.

One more episode to watch tonight, and then I guess the one from the weekend, and I'm all caught up.

Kind of makes me a little sad. I was enjoying my nightly dose of Breaking Bad. Now I have to move to a weekly schedule like the rest of you chumps.

Not really sure where this season is going. It seems to be a passive-aggressive struggle between Walt and you know who.

Mike has had some GREAT moments this season. Possibly my favorite character.

Oh yeah, and Walt ... what a dumbass. Either feeling self-destructive, overly confident, full of pride, or all three. You're going to get your ass caught.

Walt's continuing decay is as disheartening as it is inevitable. You know things can't end well for him. As enjoyable as he is to watch -- Bryan Cranston is godamm amazing in the role -- he is more loathsome with every episode. You still kind of like him because he's charismatic and you want to see him get out of the jams he gets in, but more and more he's willing to manipulate people, or outright throw then under the bus.

Even though Jesse is a dumbass douchebag with a mean self-destructive streak, I feel bad for him sometimes. Walt emotionally abuses the kid. He takes his frustrations out on him, demeans him, demoralizes him. He protects him, too, yeah, but I often get the sense it's not out of altruism. It's that Walt is now in a situation he can't control. He's got to control SOMETHING, so Jesse it is.

Now that I'm all caught up, there is a gaping void in my late weeknights. Should I turn to Mad Men?

Yes. Yes, you should. It'll fill the void nicely.

Anyone else get the sense in Sunday's episode that the other dude was Gus' lover? I know he says he has a family and all, but that doesn't really mean much.

But what happens next!?

Agree with Walt Jr. - first time in a long while I had any real sympathy for Walt.

That was an awesome episode. Probably the most satisfying of the season so far. Gustavo is straight up bad ass. And Jesse was great. Loved when he took charge in the Mexican cook lab and then with the shootout at the end. Excellent stuff.

What's next? Obviously, Hank is going to get very, very close to figuring things out. How Walt gets/stays beyond it is the big question.

Tough to say, Brian. Walt certainly seems fucked. Hard to imagine they find a plausible way for him to escape unscathed. And the way Beneke bit it was just ridiculous. Still, it was a fun episode. I like that Jesse's fucking with Walt now, but doesn't want him to die.

You got your wish. That was one of the best scenes of this week's episode.

That last 10 or 15 minutes was some of the finest of the entire series. Shit was intense. This whole thing is just spiraling out of control and we can't predict where it's going.

Sunday's episode was outstanding.

Gus laying all the cards out like that? Just ridiculous.

Still a fun episode, but it's getting into weird territory.

It was pretty weird from the start, though. Small weirdness at first, dissolving bodies and all that -- the show walked a fine line between farce and drama from the start -- but then when you started having giant air disasters over Walt's house and Super Unstoppable Mexican Assassin Twins they kind of made clear the rules of sanity did not apply. I feel like they've always clung right to the edge of our ability to suspend disbelief, which is part of what makes it fun.

Not sure what to make of that ending this week. Why didn't Gus get back into his shitty Volvo?
