Great episode all around. Much better than the America II road trip.

You mean, America III road trip. Part II was the "serious" muscle car episode, where they drove from San Fransisco to Utah (one or two seasons ago):

Right. I forgot about that one. The first one was the best.

Can we please give a heads up here, as soon as that Senna documentary is available as a HD torrent? Danke.

The whole Blue Ridge thing was poorly planned, there are some great driving roads off the actual parkway where you can go as fast as you dare. Plus if you are going to do a Nascar track and you're that close to Bristol you've got to use it.

I didn't get a chance to see it...too busy working at the event where it was playing...

Anyway, download it, and let me know if it's in English...

Have you seen Top Gear China? Blows the US one away.

That actually looks funny. I haven't listened to the audio (on a conf call) but the competition between the donkey and the Cadillac looks hilarious.

Good news. Above is not only a nice, proper 720p but it's the 162 minute version. There are apparently two, a 104 and this 162 minute one. The subs for this can be found here http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/subtitl ... 1/senna-en

I'm off watching it ...with Top Gear China as an entré course. China? Ficken mich.

Bad news. There isn't a 162 minute version. Someone just chopped in 1 hours of interviews (that probably are an extra on some release) at the "appropriate" moments. And even though the talking heads are interesting, this fucks up the flow of everything. Avoid.

Every season of Top Gear (well, the current iteration of the series) has been added to Netflix. I assume it's the BBC America re-edited versions - but still fun for a quick bite of TG. The seasons expire in a year.

Bloody hell, those poor bastards. Loosing THREE limbs in a criminal terrorist invasion. Granted, they probably relieved other people of limb and life an easy 10 times over, but dang. How long is Britain going to cling on to U.S.' insanity...

Too silly and forced for you?... Not too silly and forced for the Fräulein!!

Good times were had, more regular episodes might be watched as a pair.

Too much Hammond trying to act, too much train, too much of whatever that party was supposed to be.

May constantly pushing the button to make sure it worked made up for most of the scripted shit, and the last 15-20 minutes had some fun moments (the cricket match). Would like to have seen more interaction with people sans scripted events (see: every other special they've done).

For those not in the know, season 18 premiered over the weekend.

BRILLIANT episode. Must watch. Made the Xmas special look even more shitty by comparison. I even sat through Will.I.Am's interview without the desire to FFWD.

Jeremy is starting to look incredibly old. May is still the best thing about the show...

Whu? I would've bet you HATED the premiere episode. Even I thought it was just so so. No single new car. Lame challanges. Everything in the studio was forced and silly. And Will. I. Am was (to the suprise of no one, I guess) as dumb and smug as his name. 6/10. Blah.

That interview was horrendous, but Clarkson is a terrible interviewer. I was imagining Hammond and May giggling in the background the entire time. That interview was comedy, especially when Clarkson mentioned they had to bring out the car with an automatic transmission (he looks at the camera with a slight "this guy is a fucking joke" look). Laughed out loud the entire time.

Looks like the minute he made it in music, he turned queer-doodle-gay, walked into a late-80s Gaultier fashion show and became Spike Lee's lost twin brother.

When the news segment is the highlight of the episode, there's something wrong. The Serbian dude's accent was hysterical during the edited car chase, but that was it. Waste of time.

Aside from that musician (lifetime achievement awards at age 43? Hello?), the latest episode was great. The only keeper aside from the Veyron episodes.

Series 19 begins January 27th, with 5 new episodes, plus the Christmas Winter special (airing in February or March). BBC America will air it very soon thereafter. Also, a message from James:
