Every weekday morning I bring my daughter to pre-school about 10-15 minutes away. During this ride I usually put on a mix CD I made years ago. It has around 150 songs or so and is usually on shuffle play, but every once in a while, as young kids do, she will listen to one and want to hear it again. This ends up being the song we listen to on repeat for about a week or so, and she starts singing it around the house and at school.

So far the songs have been...

Cherry Bomb - The Runaways
Give Up the Funk - Parliament (aka George Clinton and The Parliament Funkadelic)
Time Warp - The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Verb, That's What's Happenin' - Moby
Electricity, Electricity! - Goodness
Galileo - Indigo Girls

The current one is...

Mrs. Robinson - Simon & Garfunkel

Which she has been singing incessantly at pre-school and refers to as 'The Bongo Song'.

I tried getting her off that today with Sand - The Lovemongers, we'll see what next week brings.

In the future it will become even easier for old negatives to become lost and be "replaced" by new altered negatives. This would be a great loss to our society. Our cultural history must not be allowed to be rewritten. - George Lucas 1988
