I enchanted some dagger which seems to be more powerful than any weapon in game - it absorbs something like 37 units of health and does 37 shock damage. I could use a sword, but the dagger is so much more fun!

I lost track of how many hours I have logged. 130, maybe 140. Main quest done, Companions done, Thieves Guild done (this one was pretty good), currently doing the civil war storyline.

The game is still fun. Easy, but fun.

I haven't played in a few weeks - had to take a break...the game is not as fun as Oblivion...not sure if it's the monotonous weather, or the ease of he game (I remember dreading the Oblivion gates, whereas the dragons in this one are a piece of cake). Hopefully the main storyline, or that civil war one (which I dabbled in), will generate a bit more excitement.

Add the naked women, boobies, vaginae, and giant cock DLC add-ons for a reinvigorating experience.

I saw it on Facebook.

I`ve actually held off on this for awhile since the movies have been stacking up, but I`m going on vacation after next week, and I`m planning to get really intimate with this Skyrim business.

Use petroleum jelly, two fingers, a towel, and have some water handy - it is thirsty work from what I have seen on Facebook.

Less than an hour in, I found the spot where my character was trapped in Limbo of graphics. So much for the whole "go anywhere" game play..... Every fucking time I get one of these "go anywhere" games, I always seem to find the one spot where I have to reboot the whole fucking thing.

That's impressive. I think that has only happened 1 time for me in so many hours of play time.

You guys know that Bethesda has now announced that they are currently working on an MMO based on Skyrim/Elder Scrolls, right?

WOULD YOU LIKE TO KNOW MORE?

Thanks, JF! Just signed up. I've been playing the shit out of Skyrim lately. So pumped for it. Let me know if you hear from them.

I sure fucking hope so, considering it's going to be $20.

And hey, here's a trailer. I should have posted that to begin with, but the prospects of free beta access was too exciting.

The whole aspect of being able to attack something whilst on your horse might turn my world upside down. I've been lusting after a full speed gallop into a spriggan nest while unleashing arrows in slow motion for a while now. Plus, the new evil looking creatures get me excited. I'm all about chaos when I play with my first character.

Let us hope this isn't just a wimpy vampire nest that I have to turn werewolf on and eat the fuck out of.

Bethesda has said in the past that they intend for the expansions to be massive, like Shivering Isles.

I think starting with Fallout 3 they showed that they had a good handle on how to do awesome DLC. Those mini-expansions were really good.

Isn`t the new ME3 extended ending about a gig and a half and contains no new gammeplay whatsoever? That`s one extended fucking ending. Or it reflects every choice you made throughout the entire series.

Like they originally advertised.

I'm really surprised at how deeply I've gotten back into Oblivion since I got the GotY Edition. Figured I'd just blow through the three new-to-me questlines -- Knights of the Nine, the Fighter's Guild, and Shivering Isles -- but 12 hours later I'm fully back into it. Still going through Knights of the Nine and have only just started Fighter's Guild, haven't even touched Shivering Isles.

For all its flaws, this game is still SO good. The fact that the RPG elements are WAY deeper than Skyrim's makes it easy to overlook the downgrade in graphics and the fact that the world isn't as varied or interesting as Skyrim's.

Hell, even stuff that makes this game more difficult ends up being stuff I like better. Not being able to see in the dark, for instance. Makes dungeon crawling so much more fun and challenging when tombs that haven't been opened in 1,000 years don't have burning torches on every wall.

I still hate the level scaling, which means that unless you charge into a group of five enemies at once -- and there are almost NEVER five enemies in one area -- it's almost impossible to get in over your head. You can't wander into territory with enemies way more powerful than you or stumble into a dungeon populated by shit you DON'T want to mess with. You can always handle everything you encounter.

That stinks.

But I jacked up the difficulty a bit to add some tension, and I'm having fun.

Can't believe I was last obsessed with this SEVEN YEARS AGO. It's still awesome.

Has anyone played the Skyrim expansions? I got bored/frustrated with the game, and never finished the main quest (I don't even remember what it was now).

Never got around to the expansions; will wait for the Game of the Year edition to come down a bit in price, then I'll play them. I played so much Skyrim I could use the break, anyway.

(I did pretty much everything in that game except the Brotherhood storyline, and since I don't use fast travel it added up to a LOT of hours.)

The final expansion is supposed to be really good. You revisit the island from the Morrowind expansion Bloodmoon, which is a cool location, and there is good, long quest, and other stuff. Supposed to be fairly meaty.

The first was some vampire thing that didn't interest me, but supposedly it has a branching story that gives you a solid 7-9 hours, so that's cool.

And then they did some house building shit. Whatever!

When the GotY is $30 or less it will surely be worth it.

The CRAZY deal right now is that both Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas has their GotY editions at $20. Since they each contain all the expansions, that's a CRAZY amount of new content. New Vegas especially, the expansions probably add 40+ hours to the game, all with brand new locations. They are on my list.

I liked Dawnguard (vampires) and Hearthfire (house building shit). Downloaded but haven't touched the last expansion.

The main story is worth finishing. Fairly cool battle at the end, and you get a kickass power out of it.

That power resulted in the coolest randomly occurring event I've ever had in any Elder Scrolls game, and among the best of any game period. Epic fight involving me, a dragon, two giants, a mammoth, about 12 bandits from two different bandit camps, and a group of those shitty arrogant high elves.

It. Was. EPIC.

Can it be accomplished at level 33?

I very much doubt it.

I just had my fucking head handed to me fighting an Elder Dragon as a random encounter last night.

Fucking shit bastard fuck dragon crotch smelling kickity fuck fuck.

The main story is anything having to do with you being the Dragonborn. It starts with the first thing you're told to do and continues in that city on the hill. Dragonrun?

Ah... okay.

One other question, people keep wanting me to join their shit, should I?

Or should I avoid certain cliques?

Are the "Legionnaires" or "Imperials" a fraternity that you can join and not make the "cool kids" hate you?

I am confused on being anything other than a lycanthrope.

Please help, Dear Shoe.
